University of Dayton's ABA-Approved Online Hybrid Program

Join Our Tradition of Innovation in Legal Education

The University of Dayton School of Law is proud to offer our Juris Doctor (J.D.) program in an online hybrid format so that more students across the country can pursue their goal of becoming a lawyer.

Approved by the American Bar Association (ABA), the program features a practical curriculum that prepares practice-ready graduates to sit for the bar exam in most states.

During your four years as a student, you’ll experience our innovative approach to legal education as you attend weekly live, online classes; complete interactive online coursework; and visit us on campus for intensive in-person learning experiences, known as Get REAL weeks.

Become Part of Our Tradition of Innovation

Since our founding in 1922, the University of Dayton School of Law has worked hard to provide aspiring lawyers with greater access to a high-quality legal education. We are constantly developing and refining our programs to meet the needs of students so that they can apply the law to benefit people in their communities.

The Online Hybrid J.D. program is just the latest example of our tradition of innovation. We are nationally recognized for:

Building the nation’s first fully wired law school in 1997, leading legal education’s charge into the digital age.
Offering a unique and highly successful accelerated J.D. option since 2006, recognizing that legal education is not one-size-fits-all.
Providing a cutting-edge Legal Profession Program, which provides advanced training in legal research and writing based on what employers tell us they want.
Through our Online Hybrid J.D. program, students no longer have to uproot their lives to come to us. We are bringing law school to them. And we believe that greater access to legal education will help communities throughout America."
